St Austell Brewery to continue Title Partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club

St Austell Brewery and Somerset County Cricket Club have agreed a new partnership deal that will see Tribute Cornish pale ale continue as the club’s title partner for a further four years.

As part of the renewed partnership the Tribute ale logo will appear on the front of the Specsavers County Championship shirt and across the back of the Royal London One-Day Cup and NatWest T20 Blast shirts along with significant branding around the ground.

As an independent, family-owned brewer and pub company, St Austell Brewery is the South West’s largest wholesale distributor of beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Already heavily involved with sport across the region, the original agreement with Somerset in 2013 was the Brewery’s first venture into the world of First Class cricket and the success of the partnership has led to its renewal as well as a string of similar partnerships with other major West Country clubs.

As well as continuing to provide the Clubs’ drinks for the duration of the new agreement, with Tribute, Proper Job and Korev all being served at the Cooper Associates County Ground, both parties are looking at developing some interesting and exciting activation outside of the ground to further highlight the Partnership.

Somerset CCC CEO Guy Lavender said: “I am absolutely delighted that St Austell have taken the decision to extend their partnership with us. They are a superb company who hold very similar values to Somerset as a business by taking great pride in what they do, as well as being thoroughly professional and enormous fun. We will be doing all we can to help St Austell with the continued expansion of their business right across the region. Let’s hope we can reward them with the County Championship by the end of the season!”

James Staughton, St Austell Brewery CEO said, “We’re delighted to be partnering again with Somerset Cricket. We see this sponsorship as key in helping Tribute grow its position as one the South West’s leading premium cask ales. It’s a great fit with cricket as well as St Austell’s continued commitment to building Tribute as a beer of sport in the region.”
