Taunton to host second Cricket World Cup Fan Zone

The second Fanzone of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will open in Taunton on Saturday in Castle Green and North Street.

Everyone is invited to head down to the free-to-enter Fanzone, which will be open on Saturday and Sunday.

World Cup fever will hit Somerset on Saturday as Afghanistan and New Zealand clash at County Ground Taunton, and the Fanzone in Castle Green will be showing live screenings of all the World Cup action over the weekend, along with live music, entertainment and food and drink from around the globe.

North Street will also play host to some exciting street cricket activities for all to try!

The Fanzone will be showing England’s clash with Bangladesh on Saturday, as well as Afghanistan v New Zealand live from County Ground Taunton.

On Sunday, the huge India v Australia match will be broadcast in the Fanzone.

Taunton’s Fanzone schedule:


Fanzone opens: 10:00 AM

Live Screening 10:30 AM: England v Bangladesh

Live Screening*: Afghanistan v New Zealand

*Screening begins once England v Bangladesh match ends


Fanzone opens: 10:00 AM

Live Screening 10:30 AM: India v Australia

Please note: Alcohol will be served in the Fanzone, but spectators are not allowed to bring their own alcohol. No glass, large flags, chairs or portable furniture are allowed to be brought into the Fanzone.
