Ticket holder options

The recent government decision to cancel the spectator pilot programme for live sport has increased the doubt as to whether supporters will be able to enjoy live cricket inside stadia in 2020.

Following this decision, Somerset County Cricket Club have elected to offer supporters who have purchased tickets for Somerset home matches in 2020 three options.

Ticket holders can:

  • Donate their ticket money to Somerset County Cricket Club.
  • Transfer the face value of their match tickets to a gift voucher which can be used to purchase tickets for the 2021 season.
  • Request a full refund for the face value of their match tickets.

The financial impact that COVID-19 continues to have on the Club is very significant and therefore during this unprecedented time, all of the decisions that the Club are taking are driven by the clear goal of securing the future of Somerset County Cricket Club, and we will be immensely grateful for any support you can offer us at this time.

If you feel that you are able to donate your ticket purchase to the Club, as a mark of our gratitude the lead purchasers name will appear on a special print which will be placed on the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion.

We would ask ticket holders to be aware that any tickets purchased for matches in 2020 will now not be valid even if fixtures were to go ahead as previously advertised.

If the behind closed doors policy is altered and spectators are once again allowed into venues to watch live sport, our ground capacity would be severely restricted due to social distancing protocols and measures. If this were to be the case, the Club will prioritise its large and loyal Membership base. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Deadline

Ticket holders have until 5pm on Monday August 31st to decide which of the three options they wish to proceed with.

Supporters with tickets for the Women’s IT20 match between England and India that was due to be staged at the Cooper Associates County Ground have until 5pm on Friday August 14th to make their decision.

Somerset County Cricket Club will process returned forms from W/C 17th August.

Once the deadline has passed, the Club will assume that all unclaimed monies have been generously donated to the Club and these will be very gratefully received.
