VACANCIES: Assistant Groundsperson & Seasonal Groundsperson
Somerset County Cricket Club are recruiting for two exciting opportunities to join the busy Grounds team for the 2021 Season.
Assistant Groundsperson
The role will be to assist the Head Groundsperson in the preparation of all the pitches, nets and outfield of the CACG and TVSC to first class standard.
The Skills and Knowledge
Desirable qualifications for this position include
- NVQ/Diploma level 2 in turf science /groundsmanship or equivalent; and
- Knowledge of modern sports turf processes and innovations.
However, beyond qualifications enthusiasm, commitment and ability to work as a team member are equally important in the demanding environment where excellent results are required.
The Person
This is a busy and demanding role, particularly during the season from April to September so we are looking for someone who is hard working, organised committed and reliable. with enthusiasm, motivation and a good sense of humour!
