VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Ahead of this weekend’s matches, Dave Roberts said: “It would be great to get another two wins under our belt because the girls have deserved it over the course of this short season. If we could finish off the season with another two wins and top the group everyone would be delighted.
“Everyone within the group has played their part and the younger players will have learned a lot from watching, training and playing alongside people like Sophie Luff.
“Worcestershire have got a few players who are involved with Central Sparks, so it will be a good challenge for us this weekend. If we turn up and play the brand of cricket that we have done so far then I’m hopeful that we can come away with two positive results.
“We’d love the season to go on for a bit longer so that the girls can play more cricket at this level. Whatever happens this weekend I think we can say that it’s been a successful season. At the start of the campaign, if you’d have said that we would be at the top of the table going into the final weekend, I’d have bitten your hand off.”
