VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Ahead of the match Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “We respect every opposition that we play. As always, we’ll do our homework, prepare well, work on our skills and try to produce the form that we showed against Glamorgan.
“It’s a long time since we’ve played Northants in red-ball cricket and that makes this game even more exciting.
“They’ve got some very good players and as a collective they are very effective. They’ve certainly had success in recent years in white-ball cricket and they were promoted to Division One of the County Championship last year.
“They showed their class by making over 500 against Warwickshire and they bat deep. They will provide strong competition and we’ll have to be at our best.”
