Lewis Gregory Update

Somerset County Cricket Club can confirm that Lewis Gregory will be available for selection for next week’s LV= Insurance County Championship match against Hampshire.

Yesterday (Saturday) Jack Brooks was made available as a Covid-19 replacement for the remainder of the current LV= Insurance County Championship match against Middlesex at the Cooper Associates County Ground.

This was because a member of Lewis Gregory’s private bubble was feeling unwell. That person took a lateral flow test which proved to be negative. However, protocol dictated that until the results of a further test were received, Lewis had to remain in isolation, as per Government guidelines.

We are pleased to be able to announce that the second test also proved to be negative and as a result, Lewis will be available for selection for the Club’s next fixture.
