Eddie eager for more opportunities in 2018
Eddie Byrom is back in Taunton and he can’t wait for the season to start.
The 20-year-old scored nearly 800 runs for the Second XI in 2017 and as a result made his Specsavers County Championship debut for Somerset at Hampshire in June. The left-handed top order batsman impressed everyone by making 43 in Somerset’s first innings.
He played a total of eight matches for the County in red-ball cricket, scoring over 400 runs and claiming his maiden First Class half-century against Middlesex.
Eddie has spent most of the winter in Zimbabwe, where he scored his maiden First Class century for Rising Stars against Matabeleland Tuskers in the Logan Cup.
However, Eddie is now back at the Cooper Associates County Ground and the start of the new season can’t come soon enough for him:Back to News
