VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the matches, Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “This time of the year is about building match fitness, developing the player’s sharpness and putting what we’ve worked on over the winter in to practice. These two games at Bristol will give the players a chance to work on their white-ball skills in a competitive environment against some very good players.

“The local rivalry always adds to the intensity of fixtures between us and Gloucestershire and it’s no different in pre-season. They’re a very good white-ball side and we will be looking to put in strong performances in both games. Although the result is important we are more concerned with the manner in which the guys perform at this stage of the season.”

NEXT MATCH

Somerset’s next pre-season match begins on Monday March 29th when we welcome Worcestershire to the Cooper Associates County Ground for a three-day game.
