Somerset are still without Tom Banton (international duty) and Tom Abell (hamstring). Jack Leach is also unavailable due to undertaking a period of precautionary isolation but Roelof van der Merwe returns. Lewis Gregory is named in the squad after missing Friday night’s Vitality Blast win over Middlesex. Craig Overton will captain the side while Devon Conway is set to make his County Championship debut.

Head Coach, Jason Kerr has named the following squad: Craig Overton, Kasey Aldridge, George Bartlett, Jack Brooks, Eddie Byrom, Devon Conway, Josh Davey, Steve Davies, Marchant de Lange, Lewis Goldsworthy, Lewis Gregory, James Hildreth, Tom Lammonby and Roelof van der Merwe.

Ahead of the match, Jason said: “We’ve played some phenomenal red-ball cricket this year and we can take a lot of confidence from that.

“There are no easy games in this year’s competition. We came out on top at Leicestershire earlier in the season, but there were periods of that game where they really exerted pressure on us. We managed to overcome that and we certainly won’t be taking anything for granted.

“We need to deliver our skills to the best of our ability and make it as difficult as possible for the opposition.”
