Marcus Trescothick: A Special Milestone for a Somerset Legend

Last May, Marcus Trescothick scored a fine 106 from 199 balls against Warwickshire in the Specsavers County Championship. It was a significant day in the history of Somerset County Cricket Club as it meant that Trescothick had passed Harold Gimblett’s record of 49 centuries for the Club.

Marcus now stands on his own in the record books and later in 2017 added a 51st century against Surrey at the Oval. The micro-documentary below commemorates this special achievement and looks back at his remarkable Somerset career to date.

Trescothick is about to enter his 26th season with the Club and has been awarded a second Testimonial in 2018.
