Ahead of the match, Somerset’s Royal London Cup Head Coach, Paul Tweddle said: “We’re all excited to be starting the 50-over season with this game down in Cornwall. We had a good fixture against them last season which saw some good cricket and it’s great to be taking a strong squad down to Truro. We’re looking forward to seeing some of the talent that has come through the system in Cornwall.
“We will definitely be approaching this game in the same way that we always do and it’s a game that we want to win. It gives us the opportunity to get used to the 50-over format again and it also provides the opportunity for us to be able to see some of our young players in action in a competitive fixture ahead of the Royal London Cup.
“We will be looking to build on last year, the squad is in a good place and we will certainly be looking to make the knockout stages.”
