VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match, Somerset’s Royal London Cup Head Coach, Paul Tweddle said: “We’re excited to be heading down to Devon after a good win in Cornwall at the weekend. It gives us the opportunity to learn a little more about the format and hopefully we can put in another good performance.

“I was very happy with how we played against Cornwall. It was a thoroughly professional display.

“It’s a big game for both sides and we have very close links to Devon, with a lot of players having come through their system.

“Peter Siddle, Jack Brooks and Matt Renshaw have been added to the squad and they will bring a tremendous amount of energy, experience and quality. They are very good at sharing their knowledge with the younger players and that can only be a positive for us.”
