Where available, updates will be posted on our Twitter feed.

In addition to this a report on the day’s play, along with quotes, will be posted after the close.

THE OPPOSITION

The Combined XI will be made up of players from Worcestershire, Essex and the UAE.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match, Jason Kerr said: “The Combined XI will feature players from the Essex and Worcestershire squads. There will also be some players from the United Arab Emirates, so the team will be of a good standard.

“Although it’s a combined team, they are professional cricketers that we are playing against. It will still be a test for the guys and another chance for us to make sure that our skills are up to speed.

“There will be the opportunity for some of the guys who haven’t really featured on this tour so far to show what they can do, and that’s exciting. Hopefully it’s an opportunity that they will make the most of. It will give me the chance to see some of the younger players in a pressure situation.”

NEXT MATCH

Somerset’s next pre-season match begins on Tuesday March 19th when we take on Warwickshire in a three-day match.
