TEAM NEWS

Royal London Cup Head Coach, Paul Tweddle has named the following squad:

Ben Green, Kasey Aldridge, Sonny Baker, George Bartlett, Eddie Byrom, Jack Brooks, Josh Davey, Steve Davies, James Hildreth, Lewis Goldsworthy, Jack Leach, Ned Leonard, James Rew and Sam Young.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match, Paul Tweddle said:

: “We’ve had some really good training sessions this week. Everyone is clear on what they need to do and what is required of them. We’ve discussed the transition from t20 cricket into 50over and the different demands of that with bat and ball.”

“We have 14 in the squad and we’re in a good place with everyone looking forward to this opportunity to perform.

“We want to start well and we want to be playing a good brand of cricket right from the off.

“The support that we get from our Members and supporters means absolutely everything to the players. We’re so lucky to be so well supported, and when that was taken away you could sense it in the dressing room. Having the fans back and moving to bigger crowds means a huge amount to the boys, so I would encourage as many people as possible to come down on Sunday and support the lads because they really do appreciate it.”
