Views from the Dressing Room

Looking ahead to Sunday’s match, Director of Cricket Matt Maynard said: “Following on from Friday we have got confidence especially coming back from 22 for 5. I know we bat deep but to get home like we did was amazing.

“I was delighted with the way that we bowled against Surrey. Once we had overcome our nerves we got back into white ball mode and we bowled better. I thought that we also out-fielded Surrey for the majority of the game as well.

“The game against Sussex is a big one because they have made some big signings and, although we had two good wins down there in pre-season, Sunday will be very different. However we have got a bit of familiarity with their ground and we have got confidence after this first win and now we just want to keep the ball rolling now.

Matt added: “We have momentum, we’ve got belief and we have also found a way to win, even when we don’t play our best and that’s the message.”
