VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Ahead of the match Club Captain, Tom Abell said: “Winning is always nice and is good for the atmosphere within the team, but at the same time we’re not getting carried away, because this is just the start for us.
“This is a massive game and we need to back up the good cricket that we’ve been playing. We are all really looking forward to the game and we are playing some really good cricket, which we will be looking to carry on.”
Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “We’ve had a great start to the season and the confidence is high, but it’s important that we concentrate on the process. We will prep thoroughly at Old Trafford on Thursday ready for the game the next day.
“Josh Davey is missing because his thigh injury hasn’t healed so Paul van Meekeren is called up and Jack Leach returns to the squad.”
Somerset’s next match begins on Friday May 11th when we welcome Hampshire to the Cooper Associates County Ground in the Specsavers County Championship.
