VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match, Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “Obviously the Essex result was disappointing, but you have to give credit to Essex. They played the better cricket over the course of the game but we have put that behind us and are looking forward to this game against Hampshire.

“The guys are really looking forward to playing a game back at Taunton. We’ve been on the road for a month and it’ll be good to get back out there in front of our home supporters. I know I’ve said it before but the support we get here is fantastic and hopefully we can put on a show for them.”
