Ahead of the match Somerset Director of Cricket Matt Maynard has announced the following squad:

Previewing the game Somerset Captain Tom Abell said: “This is obviously a massive game for us so we have to put what happened last week behind us. I think it’s getting to the stage in the season where we have got to be looking to win every game that we play.

“Although Warwickshire are bottom of the table I think that they are a serious side as well so it’s a tough competition. We are all certainly up for it and the batters have been in the nets this morning so hopefully we can put in a big performance at Edgbaston.

“George Bartlett and Pete Trego have been brought into the squad, but we will leave the final selection until we look at the conditions on the morning of the game.”

Somerset’s next match begins on Tuesday September 12th when we welcome Lancashire to the Cooper Associates County Ground in the Specsavers County Championship.
