Dom Bess, who hails from Sidmouth, attended Blundells School and played up through the Devon age groups before joining the Somerset Academy.

After graduating in 2015, Dom spent that winter at the Darren Lehmann Academy in Adelaide. At the start of the 2016 season he enjoyed considerable success playing Minor Counties cricket for Devon and also for Somerset 2nd XI as a result of which Dom made his First Class debut against Pakistan.

Dom Bess really announced his arrival when towards the end of the 2016 season he took 6 for 28 on his Championship debut against Warwickshire, which he followed up with 5 for 43 in the final game with Nottinghamshire.

In the three First Class games that he played in 2016 Dom took 13 wickets and contributed valuable runs.

In 2017 Dom carried on with his impressive run of form and in the nine Championship games he played in he scored 198 runs which included his maiden 50 and captured 36 wickets at 23.42 runs each.

Last season he played his club cricket for Exeter CC. This winter Dom is with the England Lions .
