Fast bowler Kasey Aldridge, who is also a more than useful middle order batsman, joined the Somerset Academy in the autumn of 2018 after spending two years on the Potential Somerset Player Programme.
Kasey, who stands six-feet four-inches tall, attended Millfield School and has played all the way through the Somerset age groups. He also plays his club cricket for WEPL side Brislington.
2019 was a busy year as he quickly became a crucial member of England’s U19 squads as well as contributing well for the Somerset 2nd XI.
In August 2019 Kasey signed his first professional contract with Somerset County Cricket Club and is spending the winter away at the Under 19 Cricket World Cup.
Kasey was handed his First Class debut in July 2021 against Leicestershire as a late replacement for England-bound Craig Overton. He also made his List A debut later that month.
Somerset’s Kasey Aldridge has taken an impressive 4/38 from 10 overs in England U19s ODI vs West Indies 👏
