Adam Hose to leave Somerset with immediate effect

Adam Hose will be leaving Somerset for Warwickshire County Cricket Club with immediate effect.

Despite the offer of a three year contract from Somerset CCC, Adam has taken the decision to accept an offer from Warwickshire for next season and wishes to leave with immediate effect.

Having reflected on this, the Club have agreed to release him immediately on loan for the rest of the season, albeit with playing caveats in place to ensure that Somerset are not disadvantaged in any way in the Specsavers County Championship or NatWest T20 Blast during the remainder of the 2017 season.

Somerset Director of Cricket Matt Maynard said: “We are extremely disappointed that Adam has chosen to leave Somerset after the Club invested time and effort in helping to develop him as cricketer and giving him the opportunity to play First XI cricket. Ultimately, we must have players that are totally committed to the Club. We do of course wish Adam well in his future cricketing career.

“We must now concentrate on maintaining the form that we showed against Middlesex on Sunday and our sole focus must be on today’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Hampshire”
