Fin Trenouth will be leaving Somerset at the end of the season.
The wicket-keeper batsman signed a full-time summer contract earlier this year after graduating from the Somerset Academy.
Fin first came to the attention of Somerset fans when he made a triple century for the Under 17s against Hampshire in 2016. He has also represented England at Under 19 level.
Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Fin both here at Somerset and during my previous role as Head Coach of England Young Lions. Unfortunately, there is considerable competition for places from young batters within the squad and moving forward we have to invest in the other talent coming through our pathway.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fin for all his hard work during this season and during his time with the Academy. Everyone associated with Somerset wishes him all the very best for the future.”
