Somerset bowler Jack Brooks is set to join Sussex on a short-term County Championship loan.
The 38-year-old will join up with the Hove-based side immediately and will be available for their next two LV= Insurance County Championship fixtures against Glamorgan and Derbyshire.
During this time, Jack will remain available for selection for Somerset’s Vitality Blast fixtures.
Regarding the opportunity, Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry said: “With First XI Championship opportunities limited at this time for Jack, we felt that it was important for him to be playing the highest level of competitive cricket. This short-term loan mutually benefits both him and the Club.
“This loan will give him the perfect opportunity to not only play First XI cricket, but also to maintain his match intensity ahead of what will be a busy climax to the domestic season for us, and we very much look forward to him returning back to us.”
